Physics Department Scholarships
We are happy to announce that scholarship funds are available for students studying in the fields of physics and astrophysics.

Deadline April 16, 2024
All students (including incoming Freshmen) with a major or secondary major in physics, astronomy, or astrophysics are invited to apply, including University Scholars and Baylor Business Fellows with a concentration in one of these areas.
Applications for scholarships are typically accepted in March and April of each year, and awards are announced in June for the upcoming academic year.
Many different scholarships are available through the Department of Physics based on merit and/or need. By completing one online applications, students are automatically considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.
The following scholarships are offered by the Department of Physics for undergraduate students:
- Greg & Dana Benesh Scholarship in Physics (new; updated link soon)
- Randy & Cathey Hall Scholarship
- Shim & Theresa Park Scholarship
- Herbert D. Schwetman Scholarship
- Roy Stiegler Jr. Scholarship
- Gordon K. Teal Scholarship
- Physics Department Scholarship (Endowed Excellence Fund)
Awards typically range from $500 to $2,500. A total of 20 Physics & Astrophysics students received scholarships for 2023-2024.
